CHESTNUTS THEATRE Charlie Mount is the Producing Director for Chestnuts Theatre, a production arm of Theatre West, dedicated to revivals of great plays. Charlie created Chestnuts Theatre in 2005 with a grant from The Lloyd E. Rigler - Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation, and with support from the Theatre West Artistic Board, Betty Garrett, and Theatre West Executive Director John Gallogly. The first production was a 50th Anniversary Production of Rod Serling's classic "Requiem For A Heavyweight" (directed by Howard Storm). In subsequent years Charlie also produced "The Lion in Winter" (directed by Mark Travis), "Dancing at Lughnasa" (directed by John Gallogly), and "Waiting in the Wings" and "Gaslight" (both directed by Charlie Mount). Chestnut plays have been nominated for and received many awards and critical acclaim. |
